Resources for the Highly Sensitive Person

When I first found out about high sensitivity, I only had two resources: a book and an online test to “prove” that I was highly sensitive. That soon became inadequate to help me deal with the world, so I started looking for more. Thus, I bring to you: The Resources I Use to Survive Daily Life. I hope these help you as much as they helped me. I’ll keep adding to this as time passes, so make sure to check back occasionally for more.

TAKE THE TEST
Link to the test
This is the test that was developed by Elaine Aron, who first discovered the HSP trait. Its usefulness can only reach so far, however, especially if you already feel like you are an HSP. For some of you, though, it may be extremely useful to know that 1) you’re not alone; and 2) you’re not strange/mentally ill.

OTHER HELPFUL WEBSITES

Elain Aron’s HSP website
She also has resources on her website! Super helpful.

Pictures of cute baby animals
While not directly related to being an HSP, I love looking at baby animals to give my nervous system a chance to calm down.

Photos of nature
I added this for the same reason as the baby animals. Also, studies show that looking at nature photos can actually boost memory and improve overall human health.
